Frontman David Byrd brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Past Forward Band. His 40 years working with a multitude of stars in the music, TV and movie industries in Los Angeles as a successful musician, voice actor and DJ adds energy and polish to our performances. The Past Forward Band prides ourselves on our professionalism, dynamic crowd work, and engaging live shows.
Chris Weigand
Keyboards, Vocals, Percussion
Skilled keyboardist and vocalist Chris Weigand's journey as a professional musician began with piano lessons and expanded to include many instruments over the years. His talent, dedication and versatility adds depth and richness to the Past Forward Band.
Russ Roberts
Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Vocals
Gifted guitarist Russ Roberts has dedicated his life to music, playing guitar and piano since childhood, and achieving his degree in music. His experiences in various genres of music have enriched his craft, making him an invaluable part of the Past Forward Band.
Dub Schieffer
Bass guitar
Talented bassist Dub Schieffer began performing at age five, transitioning from family shows to professional gigging by age fifteen. A seasoned veteran of the country circuit, he has performed with icons like Reba McEntire, Toby Keith, and Roy Clark, and opened for legends such as Ricky Skaggs and Chris LeDoux.
Charlie Bartrug
Drums, Vocals, Percussion
Drummer Charlie Bartrug is an accomplished University of Oklahoma percussion graduate with a 33-year career as a band director. During his live performance career, he has opened up for legendary acts like Willie Nelson and now provides the "solid foundation" as the newest member of Past Forward.
